New York dance pop collective, MisterWives have released the music video for the lead single, "Machine", from their upcoming album, Connecting the Dots, set to drop on 19 May 2017.
Influenced by pop legends; such as No Doubt, Kate Bush and ABBA, differentiate themselves in this track, by presenting an anti-establishment anthem that declares, “No, we’re not part of your machine.”
The music video is reminiscent of the Max Max film franchise; including mutants and Jeep drives across a desert wasteland, while giving off a modern tribal feel by driving in convoy and holding up flags. Their use of paintballs as weapons symbolises their attempt to have their art be a defense against societal structures.
"Machine" is already very popular; it has been streamed 4 million times on Spotify, and was on the New Music Friday playlist on Spotify in 12 different countries. You can catch them at their current North American tour with world-famous rock band Panic! At The Disco, which ends on 22 july 2017.
Be sure not to miss their album, it is bound to be a triumph.
